*This transcript was auto-generated. Please excuse any typos. Earlier this week, as I'm sure everybody knows by now, Donald Trump did an interview on Fox News with Brett Bearer. During that interview, not only did Brett Bearer have to call out Donald Trump's lies to his face about the 2020 election, but Donald Trump also openly admitted that, yeah, he took the documents. Yeah, he had 'em in Mar-a-Lago in those boxes, and yes, he refused to give them back. Basically, Donald Trump went on Fox News and said, yeah, I did everything they're accusing me of. So what Now, Trump, according to a report from Rolling Stone, Trump left that interview, and even with all the bad publicity that followed it, he went out there and was like, I killed it guys. I did amazing. It was sensational. It was the best interview you've ever seen. And this of course is according to sources close to Trump who spoke to Rolling Stone. They told him that, yeah, this dude thought he absolutely crushed it out there. But there's one group of people that didn't think Donald Trump crushed it at all. In fact, there's a group of people that, according to these sources, were practically wetting themselves because of how terrified they are of how bad that interview went. And that group of people, by the way, happens to be Donald Trump's legal team who is not happy at all with his performance on Fox News. Let me read this. This is, uh, from Rolling Stone here. As reported by raw story where Trump saw buzz people hoping to keep him out of legal jeopardy saw trouble several of the ex-presidents current and formal legal advisors watched on with exasperated size, and in some cases, terror. According to three people familiar with the matter, one lawyer working in Trump's orbit messaged Rolling Stone shortly after the interview first aired, predicting the Fox clip would be brought up by prosecutors at trial. It was a disaster. If you're his lawyer says, Tai Ka a former top, uh, Trump White House lawyer during a different special counsel probe, and they'll have more of those because they won't be able to keep him quiet. Trump gave the government an enormous gift, and they will be able to use what he said to assist them in proving the former President's intent as to virtually all the charges in the Mar-a-Lago indictment. You know, I've said it a million times, I'm gonna keep saying it because I like saying it. At this point, Donald Trump doesn't have to say anything, and in a lot of cases, not just, you know, with his legal case, but throughout life, not just for him, but for everybody. Sometimes the best thing to say is nothing. You, you have a right to remain silent, and Donald Trump doesn't like to take advantage of that right? Now. Here's the thing. What Donald Trump said in this interview, as, as the lawyers pointed out, like there are, they are afraid it's gonna be used against him in court and it can be used against him in court, but in Admission, not under oath, doesn't technically count in a court case. I mean, you can use that to kind of convince a jury to a degree, but at the same time, it's not an admission under oath, so it's not a legal admission. So it can be used, but it may not be like the slam dunk that those of us who do not like Trump would like it to be. So it will be used, but it, it's not the end all be all. It didn't totally end Donald Trump's case, but it definitely didn't help it. And of course, it does create massive legal headaches for Trump's legal team because they will now have to come up with ways to try to convince the judge to not allow videotapes like this to be used in court. So if the other side tries to bring it up, they have to have their objection ready. They have to have the grounds for the objection. And then of course they, they still run the risk of the objection being overruled. So they've got a lot of legal homework to do. They have to come up with the legal rationale to not allow these Trump interviews to be played in court, because at this pace, that's gonna be some pretty good evidence against Donald Trump with him out there in the public saying, yes, I did it.
